Pools engineered from the pile tip up, on the Florida Panhandle.

Black Swan Escapes designs, engineers and builds custom pools from Panama City, with an in-house structural engineering team for the elevated pools, pools on piles and load-bearing shells other builders shy away from.

How a Black Swan pool stands up, layer by layer.

Read it like one of our section drawings: the water you see, and everything under the waterline that keeps it there on Panhandle sand.

  1. Water

Drawn, modeled and walked through before a stake goes in.

AquaVision Studio is the design side of Black Swan Escapes: pool and poolscape design, 3D modeling and rendering, and immersive virtual tours, with the landscape and hardscape worked into the same model. You see the water line against the house before anyone digs.

  2. Shell

A shell built for this lot, or brought back to sound.

New custom pools are precision-built for durability first and looks second. On an existing pool, structural integrity is restored before anything cosmetic, then finishes are modernised and the new work is tied in so it reads as one pool, not a patch.

  3. Circulation

Water that keeps moving, quietly, for years.

Filtration, precision piping runs and equipment upgrades, installed, repaired and tuned so the pool runs efficiently. The equipment pad is planned with the shell, not squeezed in after it.

  4. Structure

The part other builders shy away from.

Custom structural pool shells, elevated pools, pools on piles and complex load-bearing designs are engineered by the Black Swan Escapes in-house structural team, with StructureMind Inc as structural engineering partner. On a raised coastal house, the pool has to stand on the same thinking as the house.

  5. Ground

Every project starts with the lot, not the brochure.

Feasibility, planning and budgeting come first, for homeowners, developers and other contractors alike. David Tajib handles permitting and engineering; Tim Kapkaev carries it on site from the first day of construction to final inspection and handover.

    Consulting

Can you build the pool other builders say this lot can't hold?

Yes, and the same team designs it, repairs it, re-finishes it and keeps the water moving. Five ways to start.

Sites in progress

Panhandle lots, Santa Rosa Beach to Southport.

Our own photos from active sites. A pool here is planned around the ground, the piles and the house it sits beside.

Bring the lot. We’ll start the drawing.

A raised house, a tight coastal yard or a pool that needs its structure put right: call the Panama City office and talk it through with the people who will engineer and build it.
